JV Tracker

The in-house tool that publishes the videos on this site. It is private, it has exactly one user, and it is not offered to anyone else.

What it is

Lazy Money Lab is a one-person operation. Every week it publishes short-form videos about splitting a paycheck — the same ones on the split page. JV Tracker is the software that does the publishing and then reads back how each video performed.

It runs on Joey’s own Mac. There is no hosted service, no web app to sign into, no accounts, and no sign-ups. It was built for this operation and is used only by it.

What it does

  • Takes a finished video file and publishes it to Joey’s own accounts — TikTok, Instagram and YouTube — on a schedule, so the same cut goes out at the same moment everywhere.
  • Reads back the public performance figures for those posts — views, watch time, saves — and keeps them in a local database so the next video can be a better one.
  • Nothing else. It does not browse, search, or collect anyone else’s content, and it never posts on behalf of another person.

Which accounts it touches

One set, all owned by Joey Viola: @itsjoeyviola on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. The tool authenticates as the account owner and can only act on those accounts. It has no ability to act on anyone else’s, and there is no mechanism by which another person could connect one.

What it accesses on TikTok

Two things, both for the owner’s own account:

  • Basic profile information — the display name, avatar and posting eligibility shown back to the operator before a post goes out, so the right account is confirmed.
  • Video publishing — uploading a finished video file the operator has already made and approved.

It does not read other users’ videos, comments, followers or messages, and it stores no data about anyone other than the account owner.

Data and legal

Because the tool has one user, there is no user data to speak of: the credentials and the performance figures live on one machine and are not shared with anyone. The full documents are here:
